In this art workshop learners use the world around them as a starting point for investigations into 3D construction. They draw and record digitally places and buildings in order to gain knowledge and a source of inspiration. They develop their drawings into designs for a 3D object. Using these designs they explore the properties of clay and use these properties to create a 3D representation of their design.
This art workshop links with many areas of the curriculum- including maths, science, D&T, Art and Geography. The key skills are problem solving, recording and sharing good practice. The brief is left open in order to allow for personalised learning and pupil lead enquiry.
